A total of 73 vehicles are used for deicing. To meet our customers’ special requirements, for example for rear deicing an Airbus A380, three different vehicle types are used. These are the Elephant® Beta, Elephant® Beta15 and Elephant® Beta 15XL models from the Danish manufacturer Vestergaard Company A/S. With our vehicles, deicing on remote deicing pads with the engines running is just as possible as carrying out complex checks. Maintenance and repairs are performed in Fraport workshops by our own staff trained by the manufacturer. Below we present the three models of our deicing vehicles in a brief overview.
